Florida Hometown Heroes Housing Program

The Florida Hometown Heroes Housing Program makes Homeownership Affordable for Eligible Frontline Community Workers.
Program Details
- Active Duty Military-Veterans-Law Enforcement-Firefighter-Medical Field-Certified Educator-Childcare-Pharmacist-Dental Field-Dietician-Certified Athletic Trainer-Optician-Hearing Aid Specialist-Clinical Social Worker-Veterinarian Field.
- Down Payment and Closing Cost Assistance to First-time, Income-qualified Homebuyers up to 5% of the First Mortgage Loan Amount (maximum of $25,000), in the form of a 0%, non-amortizing, 30-year Deferred Second Mortgage.
- Active Duty Military and Veterans do not have to be a First-time Homebuyer.
- If you previously owned a Home or currently own a Home but have not lived in it as your primary residence in the past three years, you still Qualify for the Program.
- There is No Payment figured in to your debt to income ratio (DTI) for Qualifying for a First Mortgage.
- Offers a Lower First Mortgage Rate and additional special benefits.
- If you are moving to Florida with a Full Time job already lined up, you still Qualify upon lenders approval.
- This Second Mortgage becomes due and payable, in full, upon sale of the property, refinancing of the First Mortgage, transfer of deed or if the Homeowner no longer occupies the property as his/her primary residence. The Florida Hometown Heroes loan is not Forgivable.
